The Story Behind the Brand

Atelier & Co was founded by Gillian Charnley, a former corporate executive who spent years leading high-pressure sourcing operations across global environments — boardrooms, contracts, stakeholders and constant expectation. 

Accustomed to performance and pace, she understood discipline. She also experienced firsthand how sustained pressure shows on the skin — dullness, sensitivity, loss of glow.

Faced with chronic stress and skin that no longer felt resilient, she turned to nature — and to structure. What began as a personal ritual, pressing botanical oils into tired skin at the end of long days, became something more deliberate.

A formulation philosophy emerged:

Work with the skin, not against it.
Support renewal without aggression.
Protect the barrier.
Allow luminosity to return.

Atelier & Co was born from resilience — and from the belief that beauty is cyclical, seasonal and worthy of care.
