With its softly irregular form, warm speckled glaze and shallow hand-shaped plate, Jord brings the quiet beauty of wabi-sabi into the home—finding character in texture, asymmetry and the gentle evidence of its making.
Designed specifically for dry botanical aromatherapy, Jord uses the warmth of a tealight to gently awaken the natural scent held within tea leaves, herbs, petals and aromatic woods.
Place your chosen botanicals upon the upper plate, light the tealight below and allow their fragrance to unfold slowly. No oils, water or wax are required—just botanicals, warmth and a moment set aside.
The separate ceramic tealight cup rests within the softly squared opening, casting a low amber glow through the stone-toned form. When not in use, Jord remains a beautifully sculptural ritual object: grounded, tactile and intentionally imperfect.
The Ritual
Place a small amount of your chosen dry botanical material upon the upper ceramic plate. Tea leaves, lavender, chamomile, rosemary, sage, citrus peel and small pieces of aromatic wood may each bring their own distinctive character to the ritual.
Position an unscented tealight within the removable ceramic cup and light. Allow the gentle warmth from below to release the botanicals’ natural aroma into your space.
Begin with a small amount, remain close by and extinguish the tealight when the ritual is complete. Allow the burner and botanical material to cool fully before handling.

Explore the quiet individuality of different leaves, flowers and woods:
- White sage for an earthy, herbaceous aroma

Always use completely dry, natural botanical material without added fragrance, coatings or synthetic decoration.

Subtle variations in tone, texture and form may occur. These are an intrinsic part of Jord’s organic, wabi-sabi character rather than imperfections.
Care & Safety
Place on a stable, level and heat-resistant surface away from draughts, children, animals and flammable materials. Never leave a burning tealight unattended.
Use only a small quantity of dry botanical material and check it frequently while warming. The botanicals should warm gently rather than ignite. Extinguish the tealight immediately if the material begins to scorch, smoke or burn.
Do not add essential oils, fragrance oils, wax, water or other liquids to the plate. Do not place loose botanical material inside the tealight chamber or allow it to come into contact with the flame.
Allow every component to cool completely before handling. Remove spent botanicals and wipe the plate gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemical products.
Tealight and botanicals are not included.
